Creating Economies of Scale for Small Shareholder Farmers

The CII FPO Summit aims to convene all stakeholders within the agricultural value chain connected to FPOs on a common platform and engage in discussions covering various aspects related to farmer producer organizations. These topics include FPO capacity building, facilitating market access, securing financial support, adopting technology, building climate resilience, advancing value chain development, advocating for policy support, promoting gender inclusivity all geared towards creating livelihood opportunities.
Inaugural Session & Award Ceremony
Session 1
Levers towards strengthening FPO ecosystem – management support, financial inclusion and digital transformation.
The session will take a deep dive into the current scenario with respect to the identified levers and will propose ideas for further strengthening the FPO ecosystem. The role of training and capacity building towards strengthening the FPO ecosystem will also be deliberated in detail.
Session 2
Encouraging FPO led Sustainable Value Chains – Role of private sector
The session will discuss experiences from existing partnerships between FPOs & private sector and deliberate on mechanism through which similar partnerships could be scaled and the benefits the FPOS could derive from these initiatives.
Session 3
FPO speaks: Best Practices and Lessons Learned
The session will focus on the learnings from some successful FPOs that have made farming viable for farmers with small land holding. The journey of these select FPOS will be a reference for nascent stage and upcoming FPOS as well as has contribute to policy planning.
